Apperture Mac apps

Use Sketch on your iPhone and iPad

Need the Sketch editor that's open on your Mac? Apperture streams that window to your iPhone or iPad, keeping your document and desktop tools in the same place.

Return to your Mac editor

Check the canvas, inspect a layer, or adjust a detail in the document already open on your Mac. Apperture sends touch and keyboard input back to the desktop editor.

  • Inspect the canvas and layer list
  • Access the document already open on your Mac
  • Make a small text or layout adjustment remotely

Use Sketch on iPad

An iPad gives the canvas and layer list more room for reviewing a design. Apperture opens the Mac editor with remote input; Sketch’s own iOS app is another option for viewing, commenting, prototypes, and mirroring.

Can I use Sketch on my iPhone or iPad with Apperture?

Yes — by streaming Sketch from your Mac with Apperture. The desktop app runs on your Mac; your iPhone or iPad displays its window and sends remote input back. You need a reachable, awake Mac with Sketch installed, the free Apperture Mac host, and the Apperture app on your iPhone or iPad.

Sketch's own iOS app supports viewing documents, commenting, prototypes, and mirroring designs. Apperture serves a different need: remote access to the actual Mac editor. Dense design work is easier on a larger screen. Sketch's native iOS viewing and mirroring app.

Sketch is a trademark of its owner. Apperture is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sketch's developer.
