  • Review effects and routing
  • Check render settings and progress

Use REAPER on iPad

The iPad gives REAPER’s arrangement and mixer more space. Use it to inspect the desktop project while its media and plug-ins stay on the Mac.

  2. Get Apperture on your iPhone or iPad, then pair with your Mac using its QR code.
  3. Connect to your Mac and choose the REAPER window. Use landscape orientation for more room.

Keep your Mac awake and on a network your iPhone or iPad can reach. Start on the same local network; for access away from home, see the Tailscale setup guide.

Can I use REAPER on my iPhone or iPad with Apperture?

Yes — by streaming REAPER from your Mac with Apperture. The desktop app runs on your Mac; your iPhone or iPad displays its window and sends remote input back. You need a reachable, awake Mac with REAPER installed, the free Apperture Mac host, and the Apperture app on your iPhone or iPad.

REAPER continues to use the Mac’s audio configuration. A remote view can help with review and render checks; live recording and critical listening benefit from a local setup. REAPER product information.
